I can't believe how the time goes - I haven't "blogged" since Nov 27th. I have been so busy with the band I play in, trying to do some Christmas shopping and making my Christmas cards. I have actually completed 12 cards now but more are on production line. I now get up earlier to fit this in so I hope my fellow band members appreciate this 'coz these ones are for them.
Do we put pressure on ourselves at Christmas? Certainly we do - we want everything to be just perfect, or I do! And does it really matter? I think what isn't done - isn't done, and usually no-one else notices. I love everything about this time of year - Advent - preparation (preparation for the birth of Jesus, as this really is what Christmas is really about).
We have just finished decorating the windows(all 3 of them) in the shop ready for Friday evening for our lights switch-on . I hope all the locals and visitors will like our displays - they haven't gone quite as I had hoped but I think they are still lovely. We have had so much rain - every day - so I'm hoping by Friday evening it'll all be rained out.
This evening I am playing with the band in Tesco Xtra in Pool, Redruth (Cornwall, England, UK) from 7-9pm so if you're around give us a wave, If you're not around you're missing a treat as I think the music we play is different from the other bands I have heard - a bit more jazzy, as well as the normal Carols.
Must go and tend my sick children now. Speak to you some more later.
